Treat

It’s right about 7:30 on Halloween night, and I’m a bit disappointed in the number of trick-or-treaters this year. Last year I had so many that I ran out of treats within ten minutes. This year–not so much. We’ve got a pretty big bowl full of rot-your-teeth goodness. Well, the lack of knocks on the door could be due to our choices of jack-o-lantern carvings…

jack-o-lanterns!

Mine is the somewhat boring spider and Derek’s is…well…I’m sure you can tell what it is.

One last thing…I have to give one of our local radio stations credit (I normally don’t listen to them). They actually played Orson Welles’ “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast in its entirety. Pretty cool. Amazing how people thought it was real despite all the “this is a dramatization” warnings. Haha. People are dumb.

On pins and needles

Contributing a bit to my geekiness, I was busy girl this afternoon. Take a peek:

vince the voodoo doll!

It’s a pincushion made to look like a voodoo doll. Since he’s not made up for anyone in particular (I don’t hate anyone
that
much!) I’ve decided to name him Vince.

Flights of Nerd-dom

I’m such a geek (as if there was any question up to this point). I’ve been becoming obsessed with crafting. Okay, let me preface this: I have no interest in cheesy sort of crafting. No toilet paper cozies, etc., for me. I’m more interested in things a bit more creative/artistic than that. Lately I’ve been making magnet sets and selling them at my buddy, Catherine’s coffee shop. I’m thinking of seeing if I can sell some online. I’ll post some pics here once my hand heals enough for me to pick up a camera again.

I’ve also become obsessed with looking at crafting websites. Here’s some good ones if you’re interested:
