Derek just caught this great photo of Sumi mid-leap. The little guy really seemed to have fun kicking up his heels in the living room tonight. We kept laughing at how cute he looked as he did wild leaps and spins on the rug. The poor little guy finally played himself out and flopped down in front of the heat vent.

On Monday night we welcomed a new member into our family. Meet Sumi (Japanese for “black ink”):

We’ve been trying to figure out what breed of rabbit Sumi is, but other than a mini-lop, we’re not definite. So far, he’s been incredibly well behaved, other than being just a little bit bitey. We think he’ll overcome that once he gets to know us a little better and has more free run of the house.

Instead of printing photos for the art show (installation is tomorrow!), I’ve been looking at this site for about the past hour. At first it doesn’t look like much, but the quotes and unusual styles become addictive.

Palm Springs was nice. I’ve seen palm trees and mountains separately but never together. Temps in the upper 60s, which was nice, but surprisingly there was nothing that could touch the sight of snow as the plane was landing in Minneapolis on the return trip. Odd since I’ve never been a fan of winter. My only regret is that I didn’t have more time to take photos. Of what I did take, I’ll probably encorporate one or two into the upcoming show.

Not much else to report. Tomorrow the pre-husband and I are going to scout a location for the wedding. Hopefully it’ll work out. We want something creative and other than this one we don’t have much for ideas. Fingers crossed!
