The kids.

I was able to catch a funny picture of Derek and Pancake this morning. Pancake decided to hop in his shirt pocket.

Pancake!

Sumi decided to make like a turtle and peek out of his igloo.

Sumi!

Also, for whatever reason I’ve decided to convert over some archives from my old blog. I can’t believe how emo I sounded then. Ewww! I think/hope I’ve done some growing up since then.

Madness.

Before trotting off to work…

Here’s a site for online versions of some Mad Fold-ins. Just click on the image to fold.

Ensemble.

Derek took some photos of me in the dress while I was trying it on yesterday. This one is my favorite.

The Dress!

And no, the striped socks aren’t making the cut. :P

Dress? Check.

I found my dress for the wedding. One more thing to cross of the list. Woo! I came across it yesterday during my lunch break at one of Clear Lake’s many antique stores. I had actually stopped there because of a dress I saw in the window last week, but it had already been sold. Drat. But then the guy had me look in a section toward the back, where a beautiful vintage dress in the colors I was hoping for was hanging on a rack. According to the guy, the woman whose booth it was in, brought it in an hour before I got there. I bought it, despite not being able to try it on. Once home after work, I discovered it fit like it was made for me, apart from the straps. Hopefully my mom can help me out a bit with that. It surprises me when my inner girly-girl sneaks out and smacks me upside the head. I’m really looking forward to wearing this thing.

Weekend reunion zoo.

Over the weekend, my stepmom’s mom was interviewed on NPR’s Weekend Edition. Click on the listen button to hear the story. Pretty snazzy. :)
Unrelated but interesting, is a report courtesy of AdFreak on the subjects of all those web ads for Classmates.com. Looks like the next class reunion will be a doozy.

And last but not least, here’s a site for a group who cleans up old toys and lets kids make new ones out of them. The photo gallery is like something from a childhood nightmare, but very entertaining.

Weekender.

It’s been a mighty lazy weekend…thank goodness for that. It was exactly what I needed after the past week’s drama, admittedly some of it self-imposed. Whew. I feel somewhat re-energized and ready to get back at what I do best: whining like an idiot. Ha.

Yesterday contained getting a few more things nailed out for the wedding, visiting family and going for a wonderful drive through some crazy fog. Today we visited more family, another drive (sun this time!) and photo-taking at Lime Creek.

Fish Sign! Crystal Sugar!

On the left is a small sign nailed to a bird house at Lime Creek. On the right is the painted wall of the old sugar beet plant on the north side of town. I’m going to have to go back some early morning to get better lighting sometime.

Reflect!

Here’s a self-portrait I took while bored and waiting in the car. The rest of what I shot today can be found at my Flickr account.

Links gallore.

I just added a crapload of links to the *gasp* links page. Enjoy.

Re-heritage.

I hadn’t messed around with My Heritage in awhile, so here’s what it’s saying about me this time…

I’m just not seeing it with any of these people. And am I the only one who thinks Victoria Beckham looks like a corpse in her photo?

Georgie Boy.

If you skip over the lame first part, this video about the Wii is pretty entertaining.

I forgot to post this photo I was playing around with last weekend. It’s George, my pet 3-foot skeleton, in crazy pseudo 3D!

George!
