Bite my shiny wooden ass.

Behold! The bamboo computer monitor!

Bamboo monitor!

It can be found, along with other bizarre uses of bamboo here. To me, it reeks of that episode of Futurama where Bender gets stranded on an island and gets a downgrade, complete with wooden body.

eBay fun.

This eBay item looks pretty amusing, although shoddily put together.

Paris behind bars!

The least they could have done was sew a little prison jumpsuit for the doll rather than spray painting it. Ooh–maybe they could have gone further and made other tacky versions of the jumpsuit…and maybe one for her little dog, too!

Sensory overload.

The site was down yesterday (moved to a different server), but it’s back up now. Woo! To make up for lost time, here’s a few links:

A flickr group on The Vader Project, where a group of artists took a spin at modifying Darth Vader’s helmet.

Darth Vader!

……….

This makes my head hurt. I was so relieved when Derek agreed they were pathetic.

Geek toys!

……….

The Border Film Project. Cameras were given to migrants and Minutemen on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Photo!

It’s a very moving site. Do check it out. It really humanizes and puts a face to illegal immigration–on both sides. However, I found myself getting annoyed with the Minutemen.

PC, Mac and the briney deep.

Funny video, via AdFreak. Also, another series of photos that I wish I took…although I don’t think I’d be able to dive that deep in the ocean, what with my fear of depths and everything.

Fashioni.st.

I liked this site on street fashion in San Francisco. Those type of sites pique my curiousity more than fashion magazines and the like. It’s nice to see things that look interesting but are actually wearable.

Photos.

Derek & me!

More photos added to the gallery. Yay.

More lilies.

It was beautiful outside today, so I got the itch again to buy more plants. Here’s the damage.

Montage!

The stuff in the blue pot is basil, and my new crowning glory is the white calla lily on the bottom. I can’t remember the names of the other two, but they’re supposed to be great in high sunlight. I put them out on the front step. Yay! Most boring post, ever!

Eh?

Something seems a bit odd with this. Click image for larger version. See if you can spot what is amiss.

Wha?

Too late.

I wish I would have known about this site sooner. There’s a whole slew of events that could have benefited.

eCard!

Okay!

I finally found my camera cable. Okay, Derek found my camera cable, so here are some pics from probably the last month.

Montage!

(Clockwise from left) a parking meter we bought at a consignment shop, Terry from the day we moved CoffeeCat to the new location, and a sign for JoJo Mellons we spotted at Bennegan’s while out with BenCat(!). I thought it would be a great name for a porn star. Also, how can you not love the nightmarishly creepy clown?

Lil Jon!

This image answers the question, ‘What if rapper Lil Jon was the visual representation of the year of the monkey on a Chinese restaurant placemat?’
