My favorite thing about the holidays

Cuties!

Cuties! They’re tasty, easy to peel, healthy and the small size is adorable. And at $5 for a crate, they make a great addition to the work holiday pot-luck. The only time invested is picking them up from the store, and they’re great for cleansing the palette while getting overloaded by homemade sugary treats.

However, I’m definitely missing the Darling Clementines I used to buy (I haven’t seen them in North Iowa for a couple years). Not just for the name, but they also came in a wooden crate that you could reuse if you didn’t let the last few Clementines go bad.

Darling Clementines!

It’s alive!

Okay, I’m posting from work, but this is too hilarious AND it’s the last day at work before Christmas. There’s nothing going on here anyway.

Here’s a gift from my buddy Myles:

Pocket stache!

According to the story on the tag: Like his father, this mini macho stache has a moustache all its own — though it’s merely stubble at this larval stage. And as legend tells, this stache’s stache has a stache, but it’s so small an electron microscope is needed to see the tiny folicles. One day all of these staches will grow full and bushy.

JeebusholycrapI’mexcitedfortheseguys!

Aaron and Dawn had a baby last week, and I’m so incredibly happy for them. PHOTOS! The kid is ADORABLE, Dawn looked gorgeous for having just given birth, and I can tell from the photos that Aaron hasn’t been happier. Congrats guys. I know you’re going to make amazing parents.

It’s been insanely foggy around here, and while driving this morning, I decided to take a photo. Don’t try this at home, kids.

Pea soup!

And completely unrelated, but here’s an interesting site highlighting odd psychological studies. I was especially fascinated by the one where a neuroscientist studied his own brain after having a stroke.

Doodle boodle

In honor of the doodle-esque redesign, I scanned in a bunch of my doodles to share.

According to the Anna Koren Graphology Center, here are what my doodles say about me:

Geometrical shapes - Triangles, squares, pattern formations: organized brain, clear thinking process and planning skills, meticulous planning on one’s steps, efficiency, purposefulness.

Abstract shapes - Tension, difficulty and disturbances in concentration.

Repetitive shapes - Patience, perseverance, methodical, developed ability to concentrate.

Bars/crosshatches - A sense of suffocation, a need to escape, a desire for freedom, a feeling that his actions are restricted.

The Hospital!

I just spent way too much time looking at this site. A very cool use of photography, illustration and flash. Gotta love the surprising bits of humor and interactivity as well.

Cutting a boatload of treble clefs out of paper for the annual Christmas decorating contest at work and listening to the Pixies’ Where is my mind? Yeah, I don’t know either.
