A hero for all seasons

Feeling like you have no one to look up to? No mentor? No personal superhero? Well, get off your duff and do something about it! Make your own! Here’s what I made, using the HeroMachine 2.5:

The Tourist!

I was mesmerized by the recolor-able fanny pack and molded the rest around that. The other one I made probably shouldn’t be posted here. My friend Chris’ comment was, “That’s a whole lot of guy and not a lot of mini-skirt.” Needless to say, it wasn’t very pretty. If you make one, post a link. I’d love to see what other deranged things can come out of that bit of code.

Spice Gun review in two sentences or less

Spice Gun

For some bizarre reason the Spice Gun (pictured above) reminds me of the spice weasel on Futurama.

Spice Weasel

By the way, I love that the spice weasel seems like more of a throwback to
the Flintstones than anything in the imagined future.

Derek: “I would say that you’re a great asset that your company doesn’t know how
to use effectively…sort of like Robert Downey Jr. without the heroin.”

Why I didn’t update last week

February 3, 2008 · Posted in Personal · Comment

As taken from the Epilepsy Foundation:

Myoclonic seizures are rapid, brief contractions of bodily muscles, which usually occur at the same time on both sides of the body. Occasionally, they involve one arm or a foot. People usually think of them as sudden jerks or clumsiness. A variant of the experience, common to many people who do not have epilepsy, is the sudden jerk of a foot during sleep. First aid is usually not needed, however, a person having a myoclonic seizure for the first time should receive a thorough medical evaluation.

Now I get to change my meds; a gradual 8-week process. Joy. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that at 29 I’ve finally grown out of the tonic clonic kind. I really don’t want to deal with both.

This made me giggle, but of course, Ask a Ninja always elicits that reaction.
