Working on a return to normalcy

My recent hospital stay up at Mayo (that I jokingly refer to as my incarceration) has put a lot of things into perspective for me (as did the month I’ve had to be off work). Things were looking a bit uncertain for a little while there, and me being my usual worrywart self, immediately was thinking of worst case scenarios (yeah, it’s a little scary when your condition is baffling doctor after doctor). Luckily everything turned out okay, but it was a good reminder that life is way too short and we have to make the most of it. I’ve got so many things I’d like to work on or accomplish now. I just wish there were more hours in the day and I had more energy. Here’s a short list of what I’ve come up with so far:
- Make more weekend trips to see old friends
- Do more blockprinting
- Take a yoga class/work on managing stress
- Experiment with more creative ways of taking photos
- Expand graphic design skills
- Come up with a more consistent cleaning schedule
- Get materials together for teaching the photo class next month
- Watch less tv
- Go for walks
- Try to find one thing each day that inspires me
