And now, I have officially seen everything.
For your viewing pleasure: surfing rats!

Goodnight, etc.
Yesterday was rough. We finally decided to put poor little Lizzy to sleep. She had a really long life for a rat and she wasn’t doing so well anymore. It’s such a hard decision to make, but there’s something to be said for quality of life. Poor girl. We’ll miss you, sweetie.

……….
In an effort to cheer myself up yesterday, I found a bunch of new links:
Since I haven’t made any videos in a few years I’ve been a little rusty…so I’ve been brushing up on the basics online while at work. I was looking at this site (not a bad one for beginners, btw, despite the outdated page design) and the video on this page made me laugh. Gotta love those old newsreel-type films from that era. I especially liked that the character’s name was ‘old Pete Feltman’ (same name as a buddy of mine from the former Skreak).
A funny list of Things to Avoid Buying on Amazon. I hope no one actually falls for that crap.
A gallery of small videos showing airline sickness bags that have been rigged up to move as if they are breathing/hyperventilating when open. If these were found in Boston, I’m sure the bomb squad would be all over ‘em. Click on the images of the bags to view.
A fake iPhone commercial–skillfully done using clips from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
And finally…from the BBC–footage advertising the 2012 Olympics has been pulled from tv due to causing seizures. Eep! As if the logo itself wasn’t bad enough!
PC, Mac and the briney deep.
Funny video, via AdFreak. Also, another series of photos that I wish I took…although I don’t think I’d be able to dive that deep in the ocean, what with my fear of depths and everything.
Four square.
Firstly, check out this video of Ask a Ninja interviewing the guys from Blades of Glory all E!-style.
Secondly, we’ve got tickets to see Barack Obama on Wednesday. Do you?
Thirdly, last night we checked out Toast, Mason City’s only non-smoking bar, and we were wondering why it took us so long to go there. We’ll definitely have to go there again sometime soon.
Fourthly, eh, I got nuthin’.
Georgie Boy.
If you skip over the lame first part, this video about the Wii is pretty entertaining.
I forgot to post this photo I was playing around with last weekend. It’s George, my pet 3-foot skeleton, in crazy pseudo 3D!

Super Mario Trombones.
This video is funny. Why is the Super Mario theme so meaningful to my generation (myself included)? Haha.
Cars n’ Junk.
Exciting news–I got a new car. Yes, a NEW car, not just a new to me car. It’s a Toyota Yaris, and I’m absolutely smitten with it. I’ll try to post a photo of it this weekend if we get a few moments of sun.
Also, take a peek at Koya Moments, a beautiful time-lapse video on You Tube. The shots at the end are phenomenal.
You ready for your miracle?
My boss sent me this bit of video. I have a very cool boss, and no, I’m not saying that because it’s time for my 60 day review. ![]()

Here’s a video of a guy painting many images on his torso. Is it OCD-ish of me to become increasingly skeeved-out by the number of layers of paint?

Reminds me a bit of when we did Set for Success in college. Ahh…good times.
